IDHA Registered Drum Horses For Sale

Avalon’s Hollywood (aka ‘Fame’)
foal date 5/19/2009

Sire:  Casper du Vallon  Registered Drum Horse Stallion

Dam:  River Forks Lucinda  registered 17.2hh Shire mare

Fame stands about 16.1hh right now, and because he’s so awkward and butt-high,I expect that he will mature to about 17hh. He’s put together more like a Shire than a Gypsy (which makes sense, as he’s a higher percentage Shire than Gypsy). He would make a nice show horse, trail horse, and companion. Fame is smart and willing, well-mannered, and had 60-days of professional training last fall, including being started under Western saddle with a snaffle bit. He didn’t even buck once, as I had been putting tack on him slowly over the year before that. He leads, ties, cross-ties, loads into a trailer, stands for farrier/grooming/baths, has been body clipped, and lunges beautifully on a long line. Asking Price: $8000

Avalon’s Spellbinder (aka ‘Sully’)
foal date: 2010
IDHA Registration pending

Sire: Dapplewoods Paladin Registered Shire Stallion (2005 National ASHA Champion halter horse)

Dam: Clononeen Abhrill registered 15.1hh Gypsy

Sully stands about 15.3hh right now, and I expect that he will mature to about 16.2hh. He’s put together the way I love, with a short, strong back, perfectly angled croup, round barrel, clean throatlatch, small ears, and lots of hair. He would make an exceptionally nice show horse, intelligent trail horse, and constant companion for anyone. He wants to be the center of your world, and will follow youfor hours, or imitate the horses in lessons while he’s out to pasture, just to get attention! Sully loves to learn and master challenges, is well-mannered, and had 60-days of professional ground training last fall. He is being professionally started under Western saddle with a snaffle bit this week, I’ve paid for 30-days training and will go 60 if he doesn’t sell first. Meantime, he has been taught to lead, tie, cross-tie, load into a trailer, stand for farrier/grooming/baths, and lunges beautifully on a long line with and without tack on. I would actually love to see him put into dressage training, as he has natural ability and the drive to do well in that discipline. Asking Price: $7500

Horse Feathers Whimsey
Foal date: 5/6/2010
IDHA Registered
Current height: 15hh

Sire: Aislan of Lion King (Gypsy stallion – DNA verified son of Lion King)

Dam: Tablerock Belleau Lorial (aka “Laureli”, Registered Clydesdale)

Whimsey is a very sweet 3 year old that is ready for whatever training you want to put her in. As she is only 3 and still growing, she should make at least 15.2hh when finished. Whimsey will make a great addition as a riding or driving horse or as a future broodmare for Drum breeding. Sire is a Lion King son (DNA verified). Her Dam is our best Clydesdale mare, Laureli who produced Tessa and Theo. Price reflects her lack of training only, not her quality. She will start training in Sept and her price will go up accordingly. As our upcoming stallion, Theo, is her half brother, I realise that I have to sell her. This is a very pretty and elegant girl! Asking Price: $4000
